King Jareth
At first the Dream Warriors met King Jareth as Jay who looks like a 10 year old child not unlike the Peter Pan character of the history of the same name, but with a more gothic look. He talks in riddles and many times he use ambiguity to avoid giving direct answers.

Queen Noemia tells the story of King Jareth: "Jareth the Warlock was a powerful wizard years ago, at the time of the Salem Witch trials, he was very abusive in the use of his powers. He mocked the inquisitors and make the burnings worse in such a way that other witches decided to stop him. After negotiations failed and many witches died fighting Jareth or burned by the judges, the coven of New Amsterdam use their power to send Jareth to Kobalos using a powerful incantation. Jareth found the place a chaotic one and slaved the goblins that were prisioners there. The incantation used to imprision the powerful wizard is lost, but is known that the blood of the members of the coven was part of the ritual and that the number thirteen is included in the ritual as it was part of the creation of Kobalos by the Wizard Merlin many, many years ago. As I know, these things happened not in Eerie, but in other towns. But 13 years 13 ago he started messing things in Eerie, when he started trying to escape through the fairy land, that's when he stole my crown. Sometimes Kobalos is also called the Thirteen Plane, because of the closed relation between it's creation, chaos and the number thirteen."

King Jareth used a incantation and a mirror built in 1913 to switch kids that were dressed as goblins with real goblins from Kobalos. At least 12 of these were switched but the incantation was broken when the Dream Warriors broke the mirror and freed the kids.

It was discovered by the Dream Warriors that King Jareth had the capability of visiting our reality before and has used the identity of King of Pain and King of Lies in more than one occasion. When using the random and unreliable gate to Kobalos, Jareth can stay on our plane for 13 hours or 13 days but has none of his special powers or spells.

2009.06 - Pandeminum and the Dream Warriors are able to fool the Ice Queen and King Jareth and close the door to Frigerie avoiding the cold revenge of the Ice Queen to create an eternal winter on Eerie. Jack Skellington steals a small branch from a magical tree called the Black Wood Tree and uses it to create a key to the Dreamscape so he can travel there and become Mayor of Eeriescape. How he discovered Eeriescape is unknown.
